You’re in. Let’s get StockTap running in your pub.

Thanks for your order. Everything you need is below — about 10 minutes, once, and you don’t need to be techy. Follow the steps in order and you’ll be counting today.

Get your own copy

Click the button below. When Google asks, choose Make a copy. That puts your own private StockTap into your Google Drive — your data, nobody else’s.

Turn it into your app — the one techy bit, we’ll walk you through it

This is what gives you the phone app. In your new copy:

  1. Click Extensions → Apps Script. A new tab opens.
  2. Top right, click Deploy → New deployment.
  3. Click the gear, choose Web app. Set Execute as: Me and Who has access: Anyone, then Deploy.
  4. Copy the Web app URL it gives you — that’s your StockTap. Open that link on your phone.
You’ll see a Google unverified-app screen — this is normal and safe. It appears because it’s your own private app. Click Advanced → Go to StockTap, then Allow. One-time only, and your data never leaves your Google account.

Add it to your home screen (so it opens like a real app)

With your StockTap link open on your phone:

  1. iPhone (Safari): tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up), scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  2. Android (Chrome): tap the three-dot menu (top right), tap Add to Home screen (or Install app), then Add.

Now StockTap sits on your home screen with its own icon and opens full-screen — just like any other app.

Set up your pub (5 minutes)

Open StockTap from your home screen, tap Setup, and:

  1. Pop in your venue name.
  2. Add your cost and sell prices, or fill them in as you go.
  3. Add any products not already listed — a full UK pub catalogue is loaded to start you off.

Do your first count

Tap Start Count, walk the bar and cellar, tap the numbers in. You’ll see your stock value straight away — and your real GP once prices are in. Do a second count a few days later and StockTap shows you exactly where your stock and margin are going.

Tip: Add a photo of your spirit bottles in Setup and mark the tenths once — then counting part-bottles is a glance, not a guess.
