SmartPubTools was built by Shaun McManus — a pub landlord at The Teal Farm, Washington, Tyne and Wear.
After 15 years running a pub and spending significant money on agencies that delivered poor results, Shaun built the tools and wrote the content he wished had existed when he started.
Everything on this site comes from real operational experience. The labour percentage figures, cash flow methods, VAT tracking systems and marketing ideas have all been tested at a real pub. The Teal Farm went from 38% labour costs to consistently under 28% using the systems documented here.
